The AI-powered studio engine for yoga & Pilates

Studio software stuck in the Mindbody era — clunky portals, empty spots, and a front desk glued to the phone. We built Matsy: an AI-native engine that automates the schedule, fills classes on autopilot, and lets guests book by text.

Studio software shouldn't feel like a second job.

Ask any yoga or Pilates studio owner about their software and you'll get the same sigh. The tools they pay for were designed decades ago: guests need accounts and passwords to book a single class, the schedule is a spreadsheet with a login, and half the front desk's day is spent on the phone doing things a computer should do.

Meanwhile the real money leaks out quietly. A cancelled spot that never gets refilled. A member who meant to renew and didn't. A waitlist nobody worked. Every empty mat in a full room is revenue the studio already earned the demand for — and lost to admin.

Matsy came to us to build the alternative from scratch: not another dashboard, but an engine that runs the studio — and talks to guests like a person.

Guests book, reschedule, and buy memberships by text. The schedule builds itself from real demand. Empty spots get filled before the class starts — not after the owner notices.

What we built.

Five systems, one engine — the whole studio, from the first text to the monthly numbers.

01

Booking by text, not by app download

Guests book the way they already talk to people.

  • A guest texts the studio — “can I get into the 6pm flow?” — and the AI checks live availability, books the spot, and confirms in seconds. No app, no account creation, no portal password.
  • Rescheduling and cancelling happen the same way: one text, done. The spot opens back up immediately and the waitlist gets first crack at it.
  • Memberships and class packs sell themselves mid-conversation — the AI offers the right option at the right moment and takes payment in the same thread.

02

A schedule that runs itself

The timetable stops being a weekly puzzle.

  • The AI builds and adjusts the schedule from real demand — which classes fill, which lag, which time slots members actually want — instead of last year's habits.
  • Instructor changes, subs, and room swaps propagate everywhere at once: the schedule, the booking system, member notifications, and the waitlist.
  • Studio owners set the rules; the engine does the juggling. Fewer empty rooms, fewer overbooked prime slots.

03

Empty spots filled on autopilot

Every unfilled mat is lost revenue. The engine goes and gets it back.

  • When a class has open spots, the AI reaches out to the members most likely to take them — by text, with a one-tap book — instead of blasting the whole list.
  • Waitlists work in real time: a cancellation triggers an offer to the next person in line, with a hold window before it moves down the list.
  • Last-minute openings get filled with smart, timed nudges — the 6pm class stops going out half-empty because someone cancelled at 3.

04

Memberships and payments without the paperwork

The business side runs in the background.

  • Memberships, class packs, intro offers, and drop-ins all live in one system — bought, paused, renewed, or cancelled by text or in a clean web flow.
  • Failed payments get recovered automatically with a friendly nudge and a fresh payment link, not an awkward front-desk conversation.
  • Owners see the numbers that matter — fill rate, revenue per class, member churn risk — without exporting spreadsheets.

05

Built for yoga and Pilates, not retrofitted

The AI-native alternative to Mindbody.

  • Legacy studio software was built for gyms in the 2000s and bolted features on for twenty years. Matsy started from how a modern studio actually runs.
  • The AI knows studio language — series, workshops, teacher trainings, mat rentals, intro months — so guests and staff never fight the tool.
  • One system for the guest, the front desk, the instructors, and the owner — every change in one place shows up everywhere else instantly.
